Hi! I’m happy you are here! My name is Angelina and I love music. Actually I would say I’m pretty much of a music geek, I started playing violin when I was 5 years old. I have been a member of The Maplewind Youth Orchestra and participate in my school orchestras. I’m currently a member of the Worcester Youth Symphony Orchestra and I also play with the Clark University Sinfonia and participate in The Worcester Symphonic Project. I’ve played in too many symphony concertos to count and I have played at many different venues in many different states including; the famous Mechanics Hall in Worcester MA, Clark University Razzo Hall in Worcester MA, Drew Univeristy in NJ, WPI in Worcester MA and I have traveled with my orchestras to FL and NY.
I don’t just play my violin during the school year I love playing at all kinds of violin camps in the summer. I try to participate in as many as I can. I have participated in Cape Cod Conservatory summer camp, Worcester Academy of Music Summer Camp, Worcester Chamber Music Society Summer Camp and Pittsburgh Youth Philharmonic Orchestra Summer Camp. When I’m not practicing or playing, I’m dreaming about practicing or playing.
I love challenging myself and trying to play all kinds of music.
Currently I play on a German violin made in 1920 labeled Nicolaus Amatus Fecit that was painted by my Great Grandfather. I love the sound (it sounds so much better than my back up violin) but I am saving my money for a higher quality one. I also own an amazing electric violin that is purple. It is so much fun to practice with it. I have a great amp and a step that I can record one part and play the second part over it, so much fun.
Music is my life, so I decided to start a blog so I could share my thoughts about being a musician, both the great times and the tough times. And also just share my ideas and opinions about music in general!
If you are here its probably because you love music too. I believe that you can do anything if you believe in yourself and are willing to put the effort into doing what you love. I am not a prodigy but I know when I practice hard I can achieve anything. I’m no Paganini yet, but someday I’ll be a Pink Paganini!
Thanks for stopping by!
